The Salute Gala is our annual fundraising event, bringing together hundreds of our closest supporters and friends. This event raises unrestricted funds that enable us to provide free after-school programs for children K-8 in NYC public schools across Brooklyn and Harlem, and for high school girls and gender nonconforming youth at our Resource Center in Hell's Kitchen.

Did you know?

$25,000 underwrites a semester of STEAAM programming, reaching 60 girls through workshops and lessons from leading female experts on science, technology, engineering, arts, advocacy, and math.

$20,000 allows 20 girls to participate in month-long internship at a local non-profit, university, or company to learn about social justice in a professional realm.

$15,000 covers most expenses to produce the annual Girls Symposium, reaching more than 250 self-identifying high school girls with workshops, panel discussions, and lectures on leadership, community advocacy, STEM, college readiness, and mental health.

$10,000 keeps YWCA NYC’s Step In & Stop It: Bystander Intervention workshop opportunity free for all participants.

$5000 helps 50 young women attend our College Knowledge & Readiness Program.
